Picture a $400 fare. A seller that adds a $40 margin shows you $440, and that extra $40 is its markup. You rarely see the layer, because it is folded into the price before the page loads. On qualifying routes, FlyLemo leaves it out: the fare reaches you without an agency margin on top.
What FlyLemo zero markup on flights means in practice
- The fare: on a qualifying route, nothing is added to it.
- Taxes and airline charges: separate from the fare, as on any ticket. Government taxes, airport fees and airline surcharges are added on top.
- Our service fee: FlyLemo may charge one, and zero markup doesn't change that. The service fees page explains it.
- The final price: an agent confirms it with you, with taxes and fees, and ticketing waits for your approval.
Put simply, zero markup describes the fare, not the final price. On those routes the fare carries no agency margin; everything else is added and confirmed with you before the ticket is issued.
Which routes get a 0% flight markup at FlyLemo?
Qualifying routes, not every route. Where a route doesn't qualify, the fare may include a margin. If it matters whether your particular trip qualifies, call 1-856-513-6369 and ask an agent before you book.
We say qualifying because it is the accurate word. A promise of zero markup on every route would read better on a page like this, and it wouldn't be true.
Zero markup is not the same as the lowest fare
The two get mixed up a lot. Zero markup describes what we add, which on a qualifying route is nothing. It says nothing about what the airline charges. On a busy date the airline's own fare can be high, and a zero-markup version of a high fare is still a high fare.
So judge by the final price. Search your route here, get the full price with taxes and fees from an agent on 1-856-513-6369, and compare it with the same flight elsewhere: same airline, times, cabin and bags. The final figure, not a label, is what should decide it.
Three ways to pay less than a zero-markup fare
- Call for a phone-only fare. Some fares are sold only over the phone: consolidator rates held under contract and never listed online. On international routes they can often undercut the published price, and calling 1-856-513-6369 is the only way to get them.
